Excerpts from the prize jury´s assessment.
One of the primaries aims of urban renewal, improvement of the quality of life in the inner city, is met in an exemplary way in this project. Wandering through the building, one sees a wide variety of perspectives and an interplay between old and new in the excellent, unpretentious quality of the detailing.
The jury sees in the project an effective signal…. that great things are possible in the often-underrated provinces
